Excellent build quality
The soldering on the board is clean, and the ultrasonic transducers are securely mounted. I've been running this continuously for a week in an automated parking gate prototype without any issues.

Lightweight and accurate
Used this for altitude hold on a small DIY drone. The weight is negligible and the accuracy is sufficient for indoor hovering. The echo pin output is clean and easy to parse.

Perfect for robotics projects
I bought three of these for my line-following robot project. They work flawlessly with my STM32 board. The distance readings are consistent and the response time is very fast. Great value for the price.

Reliable and durable

Great for beginners
As someone new to sensors, this was very easy to set up. There are plenty of tutorials online for connecting it to various boards. Only giving 4 stars because the pins are a bit close together for thick jumper wires.

Good sensor, needs calibration
The module works well overall. I noticed slight variations in reading at the extreme ends of the range (below 3cm or above 350cm), but for general obstacle avoidance, it is perfectly adequate. Easy to interface with 51 MCU.
Q: What is the minimum detection distance?
A: The effective measuring range starts from 2cm. Objects closer than 2cm may not be detected reliably or may return erratic values.
Q: Does this come with header pins pre-soldered?
A: No, the module typically comes with unsoldered pin holes to allow for flexible mounting options. You will need to solder your own header pins or wires.
Q: Is there a library available for STM32 HAL?
A: We do not provide official proprietary libraries, but the working principle is standard (Trigger pulse -> Wait for Echo). Many open-source STM32 HAL examples are available on GitHub that work perfectly with this module.
Q: Can multiple sensors be used simultaneously without interference?
A: Yes, but you should trigger them sequentially rather than all at once to prevent cross-talk where one sensor picks up the echo from another. A delay of roughly 60ms between triggers is usually sufficient.
Q: Can this module be powered directly by a 3.3V microcontroller?
A: While the logic levels might work, the sensor is designed for 5V operation. For stable performance and accurate ranging, we recommend powering it with a steady 5V supply. If your MCU is 3.3V, ensure the Echo output is compatible or use a voltage divider.
