Reliable and sturdy

Exceeded expectations

Great value, clear documentation

Good quality module for the price. The pinout is clearly labeled, and it interfaced easily with my Arduino Uno. Only giving 4 stars because the included pins were slightly loose, but that's a minor issue.

Good for learning sensors

Perfect for my security project

This vibration sensor is incredibly sensitive. I used it to detect knocks on a door for a smart home alarm system, and it worked flawlessly right out of the box. The adjustable potentiometer makes tuning the sensitivity very easy.

Highly responsive

I needed something to detect vibrations on a machine for predictive maintenance testing. This piezo element picks up even subtle changes. The dual output (analog and digital) is a great feature for different use cases.

A: This is a piezoelectric vibration sensor designed to detect physical shocks, knocks, and vibrations transmitted through the surface it is mounted on. It is not optimized for detecting airborne sound waves like a microphone.

Q: Is there a library available for Python/Raspberry Pi?

A: Since this module outputs a standard digital or analog signal, you do not need a specific library. You can read the state using standard GPIO libraries like RPi.GPIO or gpiozero by reading the pin state.

Q: What is the maximum current consumption of this module?

A: The module consumes very little power, typically around 4-5mA when active. The standby current is significantly lower, making it suitable for battery-powered applications.

Q: Does this module come with header pins soldered?

A: No, the module typically comes with unsoldered header pins in a small bag so you can choose to solder them straight or at an angle depending on your project needs.
