Compact and reliable
I love how small this module is. It fit perfectly into my custom rover chassis. The documentation included was clear enough to get me started within minutes. Highly recommended for beginners.

Good value, requires calibration
Works well once calibrated. Out of the box, the readings were a bit off, but after following the documentation for calibration, it locks onto North accurately. Great price point for hobbyists.

Exceeded expectations

Solid performer for education
We bought ten of these for our high school robotics club. They are durable and easy for students to understand. One unit had a slightly loose pin header, but otherwise, they are great.

Easy serial integration
The serial output format is straightforward. Parsing the string to get the angle in my Python script was trivial. No interference issues so far even near my motor drivers.

Perfect for my Arduino robot project
This compass module was exactly what I needed. The UART output makes it incredibly easy to interface with my Arduino without dealing with complex I2C registers. The heading data is stable and updates quickly.
Q: Does this module work directly with Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, it works with Raspberry Pi via the UART GPIO pins. Ensure you enable the serial console in the Raspberry Pi configuration settings and connect the TX/RX lines correctly.
Q: What is the update rate of the sensor?
A: The default update rate is approximately 5Hz to 10Hz depending on the firmware version. This is sufficient for most ground-based robotics and navigation applications.
