Solid industrial grade component
We purchased several units for our university robotics lab. They are consistent and durable. One star off because the mounting holes could be slightly larger for easier integration with standard standoffs.

Perfect for custom UAV builds
Integrated this sensor into my homemade quadcopter for altitude hold. The UART communication is stable and the range is accurate up to the specified 50 meters. Highly recommended for DIY drone enthusiasts.

Exceeded expectations
I was worried about sunlight interference, but this TOF sensor performs surprisingly well outdoors. The altitude hold feature on my copter is much smoother now compared to the ultrasonic sensor I used before.

Great value, minor setup learning curve
The sensor works well once you understand the protocol documentation. It took me a bit to get the I2C address configured correctly, but after that, it has been rock solid for obstacle avoidance testing.

Reliable data for autonomous flight
Using this on a fixed-wing project. The sampling rate is high enough to provide smooth data for our autopilot system. The form factor is compact and fits easily into tight fuselage spaces.
Q: Is this sensor compatible with Arduino Mega?
A: Yes, the CORVON TOF sensor supports UART and I2C protocols, both of which are fully compatible with the Arduino Mega 2560.
Q: Can this module work in direct bright sunlight?
A: While it is a laser sensor and performs better than ultrasonic in various conditions, extreme direct sunlight may reduce the maximum effective range slightly. It is generally suitable for outdoor daylight operations.
Q: What is the default baud rate for UART communication?
A: The default baud rate is 115200 bps, but it can be configured to other standard rates via our configuration software.
Q: Is there a library available for Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, we provide a Python library for Raspberry Pi on our official GitHub repository, supporting both I2C and UART interfaces.
Q: Does this come with a mounting bracket?
A: The package includes the sensor module and a connecting cable. Mounting brackets are sold separately to allow for flexible installation angles.
