Responsive and reliable
The response time on this sensor is impressive. I'm using it for a high-speed line follower, and it handles sharp turns well. The grayscale output allows for more sophisticated PID control algorithms than simple binary sensors.

Perfect for my Arduino robot project

Excellent precision
I've tested several line tracking modules, and this 8-channel version offers the best resolution for the cost. Detecting the edge of the line is very precise, which makes tuning the control loop much easier.

Kids love it
Bought this for a weekend STEM project with my kids. The 8 channels provide enough data to make the car move surprisingly smoothly compared to cheaper 3-channel sensors we used before. Highly recommended for education.

Great value but needs calibration
For the price, this is an excellent module. It took a little time to adjust the potentiometer to get the sensitivity just right for my specific track lighting conditions, but once calibrated, it tracks lines smoothly without jittering.
