Solid performance for the price
Works well for my quadcopter flight controller prototype. The latency is low enough for basic stabilization. The only minor issue is that the pin headers were not soldered, but that's expected for this form factor.

Reliable and consistent

Easy to integrate
As a beginner, I was worried about the math involved in sensor fusion, but this module handles it all. Just plug it in, read the registers, and you get clean attitude data. Very happy with this purchase.

Excellent noise reduction
I compared this to a raw MPU6050 module, and the difference in noise levels is night and day thanks to the onboard filtering. The I2C communication is fast and reliable.

Perfect for drone stabilization projects
The built-in Kalman filter saves so much processing time on my microcontroller. The angle data is smooth and stable right out of the box. Highly recommended for anyone building a self-balancing robot.

Great sensor, documentation could be better
Hardware quality is excellent and the readings are accurate. However, the example code for STM32 was a bit hard to find. Once I got it working with the Arduino library, it performed flawlessly.
Q: Is the Kalman filter configurable or fixed?
A: The Kalman filter parameters are pre-tuned for general applications but can be adjusted via specific register writes if you need custom damping or response times. Please refer to the datasheet for register details.
Q: Does this module come with pre-soldered pin headers?
A: No, the module is shipped with loose pin headers to allow for flexible mounting options. You will need to solder them yourself or use jumper wires directly.
Q: Can this run on 5V logic without a level shifter?
A: Yes, the board includes an onboard voltage regulator and level shifting circuitry, making it safe to connect directly to 5V microcontrollers like the Arduino Uno.
Q: Is there a Python library available for Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, we provide a Python library compatible with Raspberry Pi on our GitHub repository. It includes examples for reading Euler angles and raw sensor data.
Q: What is the maximum update rate for the angle output?
A: The sensor supports an output data rate of up to 1kHz. However, the effective update rate may depend on your I2C bus speed and the processing time of your host microcontroller.
