Exceptional craftsmanship
The attention to detail on the SLADE Piccolo is impressive. The white brass feels substantial yet comfortable to hold. The French mechanism allows for precise control over dynamics.

Beautiful tone color
This piccolo has a very warm tone compared to my previous silver model. The pink lacquer is durable and scratch-resistant. Only giving 4 stars because the case latches are a bit stiff initially.

Worth every penny
As a professional flutist doubling on piccolo, this instrument exceeds expectations. The response is immediate, and the high register sings without being shrill. The E key placement is ergonomic.

Perfect for orchestral work
I bought this for my symphony orchestra duties. The intonation is spot-on across all registers, and the 16-hole design offers great flexibility. The pink finish stands out nicely during solo performances.

Great instrument, minor adjustment needed
Overall a fantastic piccolo with excellent projection. The Italian pads seal perfectly. I had to make a tiny adjustment to the E key spring upon arrival, but once set, it plays beautifully.
Q: What is the warranty period for the pads?
A: The instrument comes with a 2-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, including the Italian pads, excluding normal wear and tear.
Q: Does this piccolo come with a cleaning rod and cloth?
A: Yes, the hard shell case includes a standard cleaning rod, a soft polishing cloth, and cork grease.

A: The pink lacquer is applied using a high-durability industrial process. With normal care and regular cleaning, it is highly resistant to chipping and fading.

A: No, the French mechanism (open holes) is integral to the design of this specific model and cannot be converted to a plateau (closed hole) system.
Q: Is this suitable for a beginner student?
