Perfect for beach fishing
This holder is incredibly sturdy. I used it on a sandy beach and it held my heavy surf rod securely even with strong waves nearby. The stainless steel didn't rust after rinsing.

Exceeded expectations

Great quality, slightly heavy

Solid construction
Very well made. The spike goes into hard soil reasonably well if you twist it while pushing. My only minor complaint is that the carry bag could be slightly more padded.

Best purchase for camping trips
We took this on our weekend camping trip and it was a game changer. Easy to push into the ground and holds two rods if you are careful. Highly recommend for outdoor enthusiasts.
Q: Can it hold a spinning reel and a baitcaster at the same time?
A: The unit features a primary holder and an auxiliary rest. It can comfortably support one main rod with a reel attached, and the secondary rest can stabilize the rod tip or hold a second lightweight pole.
Q: Is it suitable for saltwater fishing?
A: Yes, this holder is made from 304 stainless steel which offers excellent corrosion resistance. However, we always recommend rinsing it with fresh water after exposure to saltwater to prolong its lifespan.
Q: What is the maximum diameter of the rod handle it accepts?
A: The adjustable clamp mechanism can accommodate rod handles and reels with a diameter of up to 40mm (approximately 1.57 inches).
Q: Will this work in rocky soil?
A: While designed primarily for sand and soft earth, it can penetrate moderately hard soil if you twist the spike while applying downward pressure. For very rocky terrain, we recommend finding a softer spot nearby.
Q: Does the package include a hammer for driving the spike in?
A: No, the package includes the rod holder and a carrying bag. The spike is designed to be inserted by hand or with your foot; no additional tools are required for normal soil conditions.
