Essential for abrasive materials
If you plan on printing anything with glass or carbon fibers, this is a must-have. The standard brass nozzle wore out in two prints; this hardened steel one is still going strong after several spools.

Great performance, slightly pricey
The extruder works exactly as advertised. It handles high temperatures well and the detachable design makes swapping nozzles much faster than the stock version. Only giving 4 stars due to the price point.

Perfect upgrade for carbon fiber printing
Switched to this hardened steel hotend specifically for printing CF-PLA. The installation was straightforward on my X1C, and the print quality has been flawless without any nozzle wear issues so far.

Good but requires temperature tuning
The build quality is solid, but I had to adjust my temperature profiles slightly higher compared to the stock hotend to get the same flow rate. Once tuned, prints look great.
Q: Can I use this with PLA at standard temperatures?
A: Absolutely. While this hotend is rated for high temperatures up to 300°C, it performs excellently with standard PLA at typical printing temperatures (190°C - 220°C).
Q: What is the warranty period for this upgraded extruder?
A: This product comes with a standard 1-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Damage caused by improper installation or misuse is not covered.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Bambu Lab X1 non-Carbon version?
A: This specific model is designed for the X1C, P1P, and P1S. While it may physically fit the original X1, we recommend checking the firmware compatibility and power requirements before purchasing for the non-Carbon X1.
Q: How difficult is it to swap the nozzle on this assembly?
A: Since this is a detachable assembly, you can swap the entire hotend unit in minutes. If you wish to change just the nozzle tip, it requires heating the block and using a wrench, similar to standard procedures but with torque care due to the hardened steel.
