Easy Installation and Great Flow

Good Performance, Runs Hotter
Performance is great for high-speed printing. Just note that because it's hardened steel, it retains heat differently than brass, so ensure your cooling fan settings are optimized for the material you are using.

Solid Upgrade, Slight Tuning Needed
Great build quality and the hardened steel feels robust. I had to tweak my pressure advance settings slightly to get the corners as sharp as the stock nozzle, but once dialed in, it prints beautifully.

Reliable for Industrial Prototyping
We use these in our office for rapid prototyping with glass-filled nylon. The durability is outstanding compared to brass nozzles which would clog or wear out quickly. Worth every penny.

Best Hotend for Bambu Lab Printers
If you plan on printing anything other than basic PLA, get this hotend. The heat distribution is even, and the Mellow brand quality is evident. My P1S has never run smoother.

Perfect for Carbon Fiber Filaments
I switched to this hardened steel nozzle specifically for printing with carbon fiber filled PLA. The flow is excellent, and there are no signs of wear after several kilograms of print. Highly recommended for abrasive materials.
Q: What is the expected lifespan compared to a brass nozzle?
A: For abrasive filaments like carbon fiber or glow-in-the-dark, the hardened steel nozzle can last 5 to 10 times longer than a brass nozzle. For non-abrasive filaments, the lifespan is effectively indefinite under normal usage.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate my printer after installation?
A: It is highly recommended to run the full calibration process, including flow rate calibration and vibration compensation, after installing a new hotend to ensure optimal print quality and dimensional accuracy.
Q: Can I use this nozzle with standard PLA at low temperatures?
A: Yes, absolutely. While it is designed for high-temperature and abrasive filaments, it works perfectly fine with standard PLA. You may just need to adjust your temperature profile slightly as steel conducts heat differently than brass.
Q: Does this come with a silicone sock?
A: This specific integrated hotend unit does not include a separate silicone sock as the heating block design differs from the stock version. However, third-party socks compatible with the Mellow TZ series are available if needed for insulation.
Q: Is this compatible with the Bambu Lab A1 mini?
A: No, the TZ4.0 Integrated Hotend is specifically designed for the X1, X1-Carbon, P1P, and P1S series. The A1 mini uses a different hotend assembly.
