Great value, minor tuning needed
The build quality is solid for the price. I had to adjust the spring tension slightly to get perfect retraction, but once dialed in, the prints are flawless. Highly recommend for hobbyists.

Perfect for abrasive materials
I bought this specifically for the hardened steel nozzle option to print carbon fiber filled PLA. It has held up perfectly over 2kg of filament with no wear visible on the nozzle tip.

Solid upgrade for beginners

Good product, heavy motor mount
The extruder works well, but it is slightly heavier than expected. I had to increase my Z-axis acceleration limits to prevent layer shifting. Otherwise, print quality is good.

Excellent upgrade for my Ender 3
This kit transformed my printer. The direct drive setup handles flexible filaments like TPU much better than my old Bowden setup. Installation took about an hour, and the instructions were clear.
Q: How do I change the nozzle size?
A: Simply heat the hotend to the working temperature of your current filament, use the included wrench to unscrew the existing nozzle, and screw in the new size. Ensure you purge some filament afterward to clear any debris.
Q: Is this compatible with the Creality Ender 3 V2?
A: Yes, this kit is fully compatible with the Ender 3 V2. You may need to use the included adapter plate for specific mounting points, which is provided in the box.
Q: What is the gear ratio of the extruder?
A: The extruder features a 3:1 gear reduction ratio, providing high torque for reliable feeding of flexible and stiff filaments alike.
Q: Does the package include a stepper motor?
A: No, the kit includes the extruder body, gears, and hotend components, but you will need to supply your own NEMA 17 stepper motor.
Q: Can this extruder handle PEEK or PEI filaments?
A: While the hardened nozzle can withstand high temperatures, the standard thermal tube included is rated up to 300°C. For PEEK or PEI which often require higher temps, we recommend upgrading the thermal tube to an all-metal version.
