Perfect upgrade for high-temp filaments
Switched to this titanium heat break for printing PEEK and the difference is night and day. No more heat creep issues even at 300°C. The machining quality is excellent.

Good thermal isolation
The titanium alloy does a great job isolating heat from the cold end. My fan doesn't have to work as hard now. Took off one star because shipping took a while.

Great quality but tight fit
The build quality is fantastic and it feels very premium. It was a bit tight to screw into the heater block initially, but after a careful install, it works perfectly.

Solved my clogging problems
I was constantly getting clogs with the stock brass break when printing ABS. This all-metal titanium version completely eliminated the issue. Highly recommended for serious users.

Durable and reliable
We use these in our community makerspace on multiple K1 printers. They hold up well under constant use and high temperatures. Great value for the price.
Q: Does this come with a new silicone sock?
A: No, this package includes only the titanium heat break and a sample of thermal paste. You can reuse your existing silicone sock if it is in good condition.
Q: Is this compatible with the standard K1 or only the K1 Max?
A: This heat break is designed specifically for the RedLizard K1 series, including both the standard K1 and the K1 Max models, as they share the same hotend architecture.
Q: What is the maximum temperature rating for this titanium alloy break?
A: The titanium alloy construction allows for safe continuous operation up to 350°C, making it suitable for engineering filaments like Nylon, Polycarbonate, and PEEK.
Q: How difficult is the installation process for a beginner?
A: Installation requires basic tools and some familiarity with hotend disassembly. We provide a detailed PDF guide with torque specifications to help you install it safely.
Q: Do I need to apply thermal paste during installation?
A: Yes, we recommend applying a small amount of high-temperature thermal paste to the threads to ensure optimal heat transfer between the heat break and the heater block.
