Great quality, slightly tricky install
The build quality is top-notch and prints are very consistent. Installation took a bit longer than expected because the threads were very tight, but once installed, it works flawlessly. Just make sure to heat it up before tightening.

Durable and precise
After running over 2kg of abrasive material through this hotend, there is no sign of wear on the nozzle orifice. The dimensional accuracy of my prints remains spot on. Worth every penny for serious users.

Good performance but runs hot
The print quality is excellent, but I noticed the fan needs to run at a higher speed to keep the heat break cool compared to the stock part. Once I adjusted the cooling profile, it has been working great.

Essential for industrial materials

Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments
I switched to this bimetallic nozzle specifically for printing carbon fiber reinforced PLA. The hardened steel tip handles the abrasion perfectly without clogging, and the ceramic heat break provides excellent thermal isolation. Highly recommended for the Centauri Carbon.

Solved my clogging issues
I was constantly getting clogs with my standard brass nozzle when using wood-fill filament. This hardened steel tip solved the problem immediately. The flow rate is smooth and the layer adhesion is improved.
Q: Can I use this nozzle with pure PEEK filament?
A: While the hardened steel can handle the abrasion, this hotend is rated up to 300°C. PEEK typically requires temperatures above 350°C-400°C, so this part is not suitable for pure PEEK printing.
Q: Does the package include a silicone sock?
A: No, the silicone insulation sock is not included in this package as the Centauri Carbon typically uses a different cooling duct system that does not accommodate a standard sock. Please check your specific setup requirements.
Q: Is this hotend compatible with the original Elegoo Centauri non-Carbon model?
A: This specific assembly is designed for the Centauri Carbon. While the M6 thread is standard, the mounting geometry and cooling shroud may differ for the non-Carbon model. Please verify your printer's schematic before purchasing.
Q: What is the difference between this bimetallic nozzle and a full hardened steel nozzle?
A: A bimetallic nozzle features a copper core for superior heat conductivity and a hardened steel tip for durability. A full hardened steel nozzle has poorer heat transfer, which can lead to inconsistent melting. This bimetallic design offers the best of both worlds.
