Robust construction
The hardened steel nozzle handles high-temperature PETG without any clogging issues. The synthetic stone heat sink is a nice touch for thermal management. Very satisfied with this replacement part.

Great quality, instructions could be clearer
The build quality of the hotend and extruder gear is excellent. My prints are smoother than before. I deducted one star because the wiring diagram in the manual was a bit faint, but overall a solid purchase.

Silicone sock fits perfectly
I was worried the silicone sock might not fit the new geometry, but it snaps on easily. The fan is surprisingly quiet compared to my old setup. Highly recommend for anyone pushing their A1 to the limit.

Works well but tricky install for beginners
The part itself works great now that it is installed, but if you have never opened a hotend before, be prepared for a challenge. Make sure you have the right hex keys ready. Once running, print quality is top-notch.

Extended the life of my printer
My original brass nozzle wore out quickly with glow-in-the-dark filament. This hardened steel assembly is the perfect solution. The extruder gear grips the filament tightly without grinding. Excellent value.

Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments
Switched to this hardened steel assembly specifically for printing carbon fiber PLA. The performance is flawless, and the synthetic stone heat sink keeps temperatures very stable. Installation on my A1 mini took about 20 minutes.
Q: Does this kit come with the heating cartridge and thermistor pre-installed?
A: Yes, the hotend assembly arrives fully assembled with the heating cartridge and thermistor already installed and tested, so you can swap it directly.
Q: How often should the silicone sock be replaced?
A: The silicone sock is durable and does not need regular replacement unless it becomes torn or heavily damaged. Inspect it periodically for signs of wear.
Q: Can I use this with regular PLA or is it only for abrasive materials?
A: You can absolutely use this with regular PLA, PETG, and ABS. While it is designed for abrasive filaments, it works perfectly fine with standard materials as well.
Q: What tools are required for installation?
A: You will typically need a set of hex keys (usually 1.5mm and 2.0mm) and a pair of tweezers for handling small connectors. No soldering is required.
Q: Is this compatible with the standard Bambu Lab A1 or only the mini version?
