Perfect fit for my E3D V6 upgrade
This throat tube installed seamlessly into my hotend. The PTFE liner is smooth, and I haven't experienced any clogging since switching from my old brass tube. Highly recommended for PLA printing.

Good quality, slight threading tightness
The stainless steel feels very durable. The threads were a bit tight initially, requiring some careful tightening, but once seated, it works perfectly. No leaks or heat creep issues so far.

Solved my clogging issues
I was constantly dealing with jams in the heat break area. This lined throat tube completely solved the problem. The transition between the PTFE and the nozzle is very clean.

Great value for money
For the price, you really can't beat the quality. It's not genuine E3D branded, but the dimensions are spot on. Works great with generic 1.75mm PLA filament.

Excellent for remote feed setups
Using this in a Bowden setup on my custom rig. The internal surface is incredibly smooth, reducing friction significantly. My extrusion consistency has improved noticeably.
Q: Is this compatible with ABS filament?
A: While the stainless steel can handle high temperatures, the PTFE liner is generally recommended for use up to 250°C. For prolonged ABS printing, ensure your hotend temperature stays within safe limits for PTFE, or consider an all-metal throat for higher temps.
Q: How often should I replace the PTFE liner?
A: Under normal usage with PLA, the liner can last for hundreds of prints. If you notice increased friction, grinding sounds, or inconsistent extrusion, it may be time to inspect or replace the tube.
Q: What is the exact length of the threaded portion?
A: The threaded portion is standard M6 with a length of approximately 22mm, designed to fit standard E3D V6 heatsinks.
Q: Can I use 3mm filament with the 1.75mm version of this tube?
A: No, please select the specific variant for your filament size. Using 3mm filament in a 1.75mm lined tube will cause immediate jamming and potential damage to your extruder.
Q: Does this come with a new heater block or just the tube?
A: This package includes only the stainless steel throat tube with the PTFE liner. The heater block, nozzle, and heatsink are sold separately.
