Perfect for abrasive filaments
I switched to this hardened steel hotend specifically for printing carbon fiber nylon, and it has been flawless. No wear on the nozzle after several spools. The upgrade process was straightforward.

Solid performer
Works exactly as described. My only minor complaint is that the silicone sock fits very tightly, making it hard to remove for cleaning, but that ensures good insulation.

Essential upgrade for X1C
If you plan on printing anything other than basic PLA, get this. The detachable design makes swapping nozzles incredibly fast compared to the stock version.

Great quality, slightly tricky install
The build quality is excellent and handles high temps well. Installation took me a bit longer than expected as I had to be careful with the wiring, but once installed, prints are perfect.

Consistent flow at high temps
Printing ASA at 280°C with zero issues. The thermal performance is stable, and I haven't experienced any clogging since the upgrade. Highly recommended for engineering materials.

Peace of mind
Even though I mostly print PLA, knowing I have a hardened steel nozzle gives me peace of mind if I accidentally run some glitter filament through. Easy to install following online guides.

A: This specific assembly is designed for the X1C and P1P models. While physically similar, we recommend checking your firmware and specific heater cartridge requirements before installing on the standard X1.

A: The hardened steel hotend is rated for continuous operation up to 300°C, making it suitable for high-temperature engineering filaments like Polycarbonate (PC) and PPA.
Q: Can I still use the automatic calibration feature after installing this?
