Solid performance upgrade
Noticed less stringing with TPU immediately after installation. The PTFE lining really helps the filament slide through smoothly. Deducted one star because the included thermal paste application instructions could be clearer.

Good product, pricey accessory
It works exactly as advertised and improves flow with flexible filaments. My only complaint is the price point; it feels a bit expensive for what is essentially a nozzle and heater block assembly.

Reliable for continuous printing
Running this on my X1-Carbon for a week straight with PETG. No heat creep issues and the detachable nozzle makes changing sizes much faster than older models. Highly recommended.

Great quality but installation takes time
The build quality is excellent and prints look sharp. However, swapping the hotend took me about 45 minutes as I had to be very careful with the wiring. Follow the official guide strictly.

Essential for advanced materials
If you plan on printing anything other than standard PLA, get this kit. The durability of the hardened steel gives me peace of mind, and the Version 2.0 improvements are noticeable in temperature stability.

Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments
I switched to this kit specifically to print carbon fiber reinforced PLA. The hardened steel nozzle handles the abrasion perfectly, and the PTFE coating seems to reduce clogging significantly compared to the stock brass setup.
Q: Is this kit compatible with the original Bambu Lab X1 non-Carbon version?
A: Yes, the Hotend Kit 2.0 is fully compatible with the original Bambu Lab X1, X1-Carbon, P1P, and P1S printers.
Q: Will installing this void my printer warranty?
A: Installing genuine Bambu Lab replacement parts like this kit does not void your printer's warranty, provided the installation is performed correctly without damaging other components.
Q: Can I use this with abrasive filaments like Carbon Fiber or Glass Fiber?
A: Absolutely. The hardened steel nozzle is specifically designed to resist wear from abrasive composite filaments, making it ideal for such materials.
Q: What is the main difference between Hotend Kit 1.0 and 2.0?
A: Version 2.0 features an improved PTFE coating process for better heat resistance and a refined detachable nozzle mechanism that allows for quicker and more secure nozzle changes.
Q: Does the package include multiple nozzle sizes?
A: No, this specific kit includes one pre-installed hardened steel nozzle (typically 0.4mm). Additional nozzles of various sizes must be purchased separately.
