Solid durability for farm use
We run these on six A1 printers in our small farm. They hold up well under continuous operation. One unit had a slight fan rattle initially, but it settled down after an hour of use. Overall very satisfied with the longevity.

Great performance, slightly pricey
Performance-wise, this is top-tier. It handles high-flow settings on the P2S without breaking a sweat. My only minor complaint is the price point compared to third-party options, but the reliability of the official part gives me peace of mind.

Easy swap, immediate results

Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments
I switched to this gold hardened steel hotend specifically for printing carbon fiber PLA. The flow rate is noticeably better than the stock brass nozzle, and there's zero wear after 2kg of filament. Installation on my A1 Mini took less than 10 minutes.

Essential for professional prints

Consistent temps and great flow
The temperature stability on this unit is impressive. I've been running high-speed prints with PETG and haven't experienced a single clog. The gold plating seems to help with non-stick properties too.
Q: If I damage the threads during installation, is the hotend replaceable individually?
A: Yes, the hotend is sold as a complete integrated assembly. If the threads are damaged or any component fails, you simply replace the entire unit rather than individual parts, ensuring consistent performance and sealing.
Q: Can I use this nozzle with pure PEEK or PEI filaments?
A: While the hardened steel can handle the abrasiveness, the maximum temperature rating is 300°C. Pure PEEK and some high-grade PEI filaments require temperatures exceeding 350°C, so we do not recommend using them with this specific hotend.
Q: What is the difference between this HF version and the standard hotend?
A: The HF (High-Flow) version features an optimized internal melt zone geometry and a higher wattage heater element, allowing for significantly faster melting rates. This enables higher volumetric flow rates suitable for speed printing and large nozzles.
Q: Does the gold plating wear off over time when printing carbon fiber?
A: The gold plating is applied over a hardened steel base. While the gold layer may eventually show signs of wear after extensive use with highly abrasive materials, the underlying hardened steel will continue to protect the nozzle geometry and prevent erosion.
Q: Is this hotend compatible with the original Bambu Lab A1 without any firmware updates?
A: Yes, this hotend is fully plug-and-play compatible with the A1 and A1 Mini. No firmware updates are required as the hardware profile is automatically recognized by the printer.
