Industry Standard for a Reason
There is a reason so many pros use the V16. The consistency between units is impressive. I bought an A6 for my student and an A8 for myself; both perform exactly as expected with rich harmonics.

Smooth Low Register
The low register on this mouthpiece is incredibly smooth and resonant. I play mostly ballads, and the V16 S model gives me the dark, velvety sound I was looking for. Worth every penny.

Great sound, needs break-in
The tonal quality is exceptional once broken in. Initially, it felt a bit stiff, but after a week of playing, it opened up nicely. The A8 tip offers great projection for pop bands without losing clarity.

Solid upgrade from stock
Upgraded from the mouthpiece that came with my sax. The difference in intonation and ease of blowing is night and day. Only giving 4 stars because the ligature sold separately is a bit pricey.

Perfect for Jazz Gigging
I switched from a metal mouthpiece to the V16 A7 and immediately noticed a warmer, more centered tone. It responds beautifully in the altissimo register and handles dynamic changes with ease. Highly recommended for serious jazz players.

Versatile and Reliable
I use this for both studio recording and live performances. It cuts through the mix when needed but can also play very softly with great control. The M tip is a perfect middle ground for versatile players.

A: Absolutely. The V16 works well with both traditional cane reeds and synthetic reeds like Legere or Fibracell. You may need to adjust your reed strength slightly compared to what you use on other mouthpieces.
