Exactly what I needed

Great quality, slightly tight fit
The build quality is excellent as expected from a Japan-made part. The only reason for 4 stars is that the nut was a bit tight to thread initially, but it settled in fine after installation.

Smooth operation
I use this on my bass guitar modification project. The 5-way switching opens up so many tone possibilities. Very smooth transition between positions.

A: Yes, the white tip cap is screwed onto the shaft and can be removed to accommodate other standard aftermarket switch tips.

A: Yes, the package includes the switch, the handle cap, a mounting nut, and a washer ready for installation.
Q: Is this switch compatible with Fender Stratocaster models?
A: Yes, the H-DM-50S is designed to be fully compatible with standard Stratocaster routing and wiring configurations.
Q: What is the total depth of the switch body below the mounting plate?
A: The total depth is approximately 18mm, which fits comfortably in most standard electric guitar control cavities.
Q: Can this be used for a 3-way setup if I only solder two positions?
A: While physically possible, we recommend using a dedicated 3-way switch for simplicity. However, this 5-way switch will function electrically if wired correctly for fewer positions.
