Good quality, tricky installation
The product itself is high quality and looks great once installed. However, getting the shim aligned perfectly took some patience. Make sure you have good lighting when installing this.

Perfect restoration part for my vintage Les Paul
This little plate was exactly what I needed to restore the look of my 70s guitar. The scale markings are crisp and the iron plate feels sturdy. It fit perfectly over the existing pot shaft without any loosening.

Saves the day!

Decent but adhesive could be better
The metal plate is nice, but the adhesive backing felt a bit weak. I ended up using a tiny drop of super glue to secure it permanently. Works well now though.

Great aesthetic upgrade
Not only does it function as a shim, but the scale indicator adds a professional look to the control plate. Very happy with this purchase.
Q: Can I use this for a tone knob or just volume?
A: This indicator works for both volume and tone knobs, provided you want to display the 0-10 scale on either control.
Q: Does this come with glue?
A: The unit comes with a pre-applied adhesive backing. For extra security on heavy-use instruments, we recommend adding a small amount of instrument-safe glue.
Q: What is the thickness of the shim included?
A: The included washer/shim is approximately 0.5mm thick, ideal for taking up slack if your knob sits too high on the shaft.
Q: Will this fit on a CTS potentiometer?
A: Yes, this cap is designed to fit standard 1/4-inch split or solid shafts commonly found on CTS and Import pots.
Q: Is the numbering easy to read in low light?
A: The markings are etched and filled with black paint for contrast. While visible, they are not luminous, so a stage light or flashlight helps in very dark environments.
