Decent but not super hot
It's a good pickup if you want vintage output, but if you are looking for high-gain metal tones, this might be too low output even without coil splitting.

Great vintage tone for the price
Installed this in the neck position of my Strat build. The Alnico 2 magnets give it a really warm, vintage jazz tone. Coil splitting works perfectly too.

Perfect for blues
I was looking for something smooth for blues licks and this delivers. The coil split option adds nice versatility when I need a bit more twang.

Solid upgrade
Replaced my stock bridge pickup with this. It's much clearer and has less noise than the original. Installation was straightforward with the 5-conductor wire.

Quiet and clear
Finally got rid of that annoying 60-cycle hum. The noise cancellation is excellent while retaining a very musical character. Highly recommend for DIY builders.

Good value humbucker
For the cost, you can't beat it. Sounds full and rich. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the screws were a tiny bit short for my thick body, but I made it work.
Q: What is the DC resistance of this pickup?
A: The DC resistance typically measures around 7.5k to 8.2k Ohms, which is standard for an Alnico 2 vintage-style humbucker.
Q: Does this come with mounting rings included?
A: No, this listing is for the pickup unit only. Mounting rings and screws are sold separately unless specified in a bundle.
Q: Can I use this in both neck and bridge positions?
A: Yes, this model is designed to be versatile and can be installed in either the neck or bridge position depending on your tonal preference.
Q: Will this fit a standard Gibson spacing?
A: This pickup features standard F-spaced pole pieces which generally fit most import and domestic guitars, but please measure your current bridge spacing to be sure.
Q: Is the 5th wire used for coil splitting?
A: Exactly. The 5th conductor (usually the bare shield or a specific color code provided in the diagram) allows you to tap the coil for single-coil sounds.
