A bit pricey for plastic
They work well and look good, but I think the price is a bit steep for two small pieces of plastic. You are definitely paying for the Fender logo and the specific aging style.

Good but slightly different shades
The quality is excellent and installation was easy. However, the two caps in the pack had slightly different levels of yellowing. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting if you are perfectionists.

Authentic Fender feel

Perfect match for my relic build
These caps look incredibly authentic. The aging pattern matches my Fender Custom Shop guitar perfectly. Great quality plastic that doesn't feel cheap despite the worn look.
Q: Are these compatible with 3-way switches?
A: These caps are specifically shaped for 5-way selector switches commonly found on Stratocasters. They may not fit or function correctly on 3-way toggle switches used on Telecasters or Les Pauls.
Q: Will these fit a Squier Stratocaster?
A: Yes, these are designed to fit standard Stratocaster-style selector switches, which includes most Squier models. However, slight adjustments may be needed depending on the specific year and factory tolerances.
Q: Can I install these without soldering?
A: Yes, installation does not require soldering. You simply pull off the old cap and press the new one onto the existing switch lever. Just be careful not to bend the lever.
Q: Does this package include the metal switch tip or just the cap?
A: This package includes only the plastic top caps (part number 0997205000). The metal switch tip and the internal switch mechanism are sold separately.
Q: Is the aging real or painted on?
A: The 'Road Worn' finish is an artificial aging process applied by Fender to simulate years of use. It is not natural wear but a controlled cosmetic treatment to achieve a vintage look.
