Good quality, slightly short
The build quality is excellent with a nice braided exterior. It successfully allowed me to customize the function buttons on my 70-180mm. My only minor complaint is that I wish it was a foot longer for more desk flexibility.

Does the job but connector is tight
The cable functions as advertised for firmware upgrades. However, the proprietary connector fits very tightly into the lens port, requiring a bit of force to insert. Just be careful not to damage the port.

Works flawlessly with Mac
Often these proprietary cables have issues on macOS, but this one worked right out of the box with my MacBook Pro. Updated my 28-75mm G2 firmware in under two minutes. Very satisfied.
