Essential for olive pit care
As a collector of olive pit carvings, finding a safe product is hard. This balm conditions the wood beautifully and helps prevent cracking in dry weather. Highly recommended.

Good value for money
Does exactly what it says on the label. My old wenwan pieces look refreshed and vibrant. The application cloth included is soft and useful. Will purchase again.

Great results on gourds
Works wonderfully on my dried gourd collection. It brings out the natural grain and gives a nice subtle sheen. Took off one star because the tin is a bit small, but a little goes a long way.

Safe and effective
I was worried about chemicals damaging my antique items, but this feels very natural. It has helped unify the color on my mixed-material bracelet perfectly.

Smells amazing and works fast
The woody scent is very pleasant and not overpowering. I applied it to my bamboo fan handle, and the reddening effect started showing after just three days of gentle rubbing.

Perfect for my walnut bracelets
I've been using this balm on my hand-carved walnut beads for two weeks. The color deepening is noticeable but natural, not artificial. It absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue.
Q: Does this contain any synthetic dyes to force the red color?
A: No, our formula contains no synthetic dyes. The reddening effect is achieved by nourishing the natural oils in the material and accelerating the natural oxidation process through safe plant-based ingredients.
Q: Can I use this on new bamboo items or only old ones?
A: You can use it on both new and old bamboo items. On new items, it helps seal the surface and start the patina process early. On older items, it restores moisture and enhances existing color.
Q: Is this product safe to use on painted or lacquered surfaces?
A: This balm is designed specifically for raw, unfinished natural materials like wood, gourd, and seeds. It is not recommended for use on items that have already been painted or heavily lacquered, as it may not absorb properly.
Q: What is the best way to store the balm to keep it fresh?
A: Please keep the tin tightly closed when not in use and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This prevents the natural oils from oxidizing prematurely inside the container.
Q: How often should I apply this balm to my walnut beads?
A: For best results, we recommend applying a thin layer once every 3-5 days during the initial patina phase. Once the desired color is achieved, you can reduce application to once a month for maintenance.
