Great quality, slightly darker than photo
The quality is undeniable; the density is impressive. It is slightly darker in person than the listing photos suggested, but I actually prefer the deeper tone. Very satisfied.

Perfect size for a handpiece
I bought this to keep in my pocket for stress relief. The size is perfect for rolling between fingers. The scent of the Thuja wood is very subtle and pleasant.

Exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful grain
The carving on this gourd is incredibly detailed. The wood feels heavy and oily to the touch, exactly as described. It has developed a nice patina after just a few weeks of handling.

Authentic aged wood
You can tell this is genuine aged material. The surface is smooth without any rough spots. The five-blessings motif is carved with great precision. Highly recommend for collectors.

Beautiful pendant
I use this as a pendant on a leather cord. It looks elegant and feels substantial. The only reason for 4 stars is that the hole for the cord was a bit tight, but I managed to fit it.

Excellent value for Wenwan enthusiasts
For the price, the quality of the Thuja wood is outstanding. It has a high oil content that makes it shine naturally. A wonderful addition to my collection.
Q: What does the 'Five-Blessings' symbol represent?
A: In traditional culture, the Five-Blessings (Wu Fu) typically represent longevity, wealth, health, virtue, and a peaceful death. It is a classic auspicious motif in Wenwan carvings.
Q: How should I maintain the oil content of the wood?
A: Simply handle the piece regularly with clean hands. The natural oils from your skin will help maintain and enhance the luster over time. Avoid exposing it to excessive water or direct sunlight.
Q: Does this piece come with a cord or chain?
A: No, this item is sold as the wooden handpiece/pendant only. Cords or chains are not included but can be purchased separately.
Q: Is the wood treated with any chemicals or varnish?
A: No, this is 100% natural Taihang Thuja wood with no chemical treatments, varnishes, or artificial coatings. The shine comes entirely from the wood's natural oil and polishing.
Q: Can this wood sink in water?
A: Yes, due to its high density and aged nature, most pieces of this specific batch will sink in water, which is a key indicator of its quality.
