Unique gift for a history lover
Bought this for my grandfather who loves the Albany commemorative series but didn't want to spend hundreds on a real one. He was thrilled with the craftsmanship and the protective capsule.

Holds up well on set
We needed non-valuable coins for a scene involving a treasure chest. These worked perfectly. They have the right sound when clinking together and look vintage enough for HD cameras.

Perfect for my museum display case
The detail on this replica is stunning. It looks incredibly authentic from a distance, which is exactly what I needed for my historical exhibit prop setup. The weight feels substantial in the hand.

Great prop, slight color variation
Used this for a 1930s themed photoshoot. It photographed beautifully under studio lights. The silver tone is slightly brighter than an actual aged coin, but that actually helped it pop on camera.

Good replica, obviously not real
As a collector, I can tell immediately it's an alloy replica, which is expected. The reeding on the edge is a bit uniform compared to genuine strikes, but for the price, it's a fair trade-off for a prop.

Excellent educational tool
I bought several of these for my history class to let students handle a 'coin' from the era without risking damage to real collectibles. They are durable and the details are clear enough to see the inscriptions.
Q: Can this be used in vending machines?
A: No, please do not attempt to use this item in vending machines or slot machines. While it matches the diameter of a half dollar, the weight and metal composition differ from legal tender and may cause jams.
Q: Will the silver finish tarnish over time?
A: Like most alloy finishes, exposure to moisture, sweat, or harsh chemicals can cause tarnishing over extended periods. We recommend storing it in the included protective capsule when not in use to maintain its appearance.
Q: Is this coin made of real silver?
A: No, this is a handcrafted replica made from zinc alloy with a silver-tone finish. It contains no precious metals and is intended strictly as a prop or collectible display item.
Q: How accurate are the details compared to the 1936 original?
A: The design closely mimics the visual elements of the 1936 Albany Commemorative Half Dollar, including the portraits and coat of arms. However, minute micro-details found on genuine struck coins may vary slightly due to the casting process used for replicas.
Q: Does it come with a certificate of authenticity?
A: Since this is a modern replica prop and not an original minted coin, it does not come with a numismatic certificate of authenticity. It does include a protective plastic capsule for storage.
