Good upgrade but pricey
Works as expected for high-temperature materials like ABS and ASA. The only downside is the cost compared to the standard hotend, but the durability makes up for it.

Essential for engineering materials
If you plan on printing anything beyond PLA, get this. The heat creep resistance is noticeable. My X1C handles polycarbonate blends much better now.

Solid performance
Installation took about 20 minutes. Make sure you have the right tools. Prints are consistent and the hotend stays cool enough during long prints.

Perfect for abrasive filaments
I switched to this hardened steel hotend to print carbon fiber reinforced nylon. No clogs so far and the temperature stability is excellent. Installation was straightforward following the official guide.

No more nozzle wear
After ruining three brass nozzles, I decided to upgrade. This hardened steel assembly is robust. Print quality remains sharp even after several spools of glass-filled PETG.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate the flow rate after installation?
A: We highly recommend running the flow rate calibration and vibration calibration in the printer settings after swapping the hotend.
Q: Is this compatible with the Bambu Lab P1S?
A: Yes, the Extruder 2.0 Upgrade is fully compatible with the P1S, X1C, and P1P models.
Q: Can I use this with standard PLA filament?
A: Absolutely. While designed for abrasive and high-temp filaments, it works perfectly fine with standard PLA as well.
Q: What is the maximum safe operating temperature?
A: The hardened steel hotend is rated for continuous operation up to 300°C.
Q: Does this come with a nozzle installed?
A: Yes, the assembly comes with a 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle pre-installed and ready to use.
