Beautiful aesthetic and sound

The Zhongni style looks elegant and traditional. I love the matte finish; it doesn't show fingerprints like lacquered instruments. The tone is surprisingly deep for a knee Guqin. It has become my daily practice companion.

Great beginner instrument with minor setup needed

The craftsmanship is solid for the price. The Hunshi finish feels nice to the touch. It arrived slightly out of tune, which is expected, but once I adjusted the bridges and strings, it held tuning well. Highly recommend for students starting their journey.

Good value for money

Very happy with this purchase. The strings are smooth and easy to press, which is great for a beginner like me. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the included tuning wrench feels a bit flimsy, but the instrument itself is excellent.

Perfect for travel and small spaces

I was hesitant about buying a mini Guqin, but this 90cm model is fantastic. The Paulownia wood sounds warm and resonant despite its smaller size. It fits perfectly on my lap while sitting on the sofa, making practice much more convenient than dragging out my full-sized instrument.
