Perfect for my ancient plum tree
This trough is exactly what I needed for my old stump plum bonsai. The clay breathes well, and the rectangular shape provides ample root space. The color deepens beautifully after watering.

Great quality, very heavy
The craftsmanship is excellent, typical of genuine Yixing clay. Just be aware that once filled with soil and rocks, it is extremely heavy and not easy to move. Plan your spot before filling it.

Elegant rustic look
I use this for a mixed succulent arrangement. The unglazed finish gives it a wonderful rustic aesthetic that fits perfectly with my decor. Drainage holes are perfectly placed.

Beautiful but pricey
It is a gorgeous pot with a unique character. The price is a bit high compared to ceramic alternatives, but you are paying for authentic Zisha clay which is worth it for serious collectors.
Q: Does this pot come with a saucer?
A: No, due to the extra-large size and weight, this trough pot does not include a matching saucer. We recommend placing it on a waterproof plant stand or mat.
Q: Is this safe for outdoor use in winter?
A: While Yixing clay is durable, we recommend bringing this pot indoors or into a sheltered area during freezing temperatures to prevent potential cracking from frost expansion.
Q: What is the approximate soil capacity?
A: Based on the internal dimensions, this pot holds approximately 10 to 12 gallons of soil mix, depending on how much space is occupied by rocks or hardscape elements.
Q: Can I use this for a fish pond setup?
A: This pot is designed specifically for terrestrial plants like bonsai and succulents. It is not sealed or rated to hold standing water for aquatic life or pond setups.
Q: How many drainage holes does it have?
A: This rectangular trough features three pre-drilled drainage holes along the bottom, each covered with a fine plastic mesh to prevent soil loss while ensuring proper water flow.
