Bought the set ranging from 20 to 28. They work well for quick spot checks on the production floor. One pen arrived with a slightly loose cap, but the ink hadn't dried out.

Decent but dries fast if left open
The testing accuracy is fine, but you have to be very careful to cap them immediately after use. I left one open for a few minutes while taking notes, and the tip started to dry.

A: These Dyne pens are specifically formulated for non-porous plastic films, foils, and coated papers. They are not designed or calibrated for testing raw metal surfaces.

Q: Is the ink toxic or hazardous?

Q: What is the shelf life once the bottle is opened?
A: While the unopened shelf life is 12 months, once opened, the ink should be used within 3 to 6 months provided the cap is tightly sealed immediately after every use to prevent evaporation.
Q: How do I know which dyne level pen to start with?
A: It is recommended to start with a pen in the middle of your expected range. If the ink beads up immediately, try a lower number; if it spreads completely, try a higher number until you find the threshold where the ink remains intact for 2 seconds.
