Robust build quality
I've tested several FPGA boards, and the Xiao Mei Ge stands out for its solid construction. The connectors feel durable, and the thermal performance is impressive even under heavy load. Highly recommended for professional development.

Great value but documentation could be better
Hardware quality is excellent for the price. Getting the Vivado environment set up took some time as the pinout diagram in the manual was slightly unclear. Once configured, the Ethernet and JTAG interfaces worked perfectly for my university thesis project.

Solid performance in factory setting
We deployed ten of these units for a control system upgrade. They have been running stable for three months in a noisy electrical environment. Only minor issue was the initial bootloader configuration, but support helped resolve it.

Excellent for learning Zynq architecture
As someone transitioning from pure FPGA to SoC design, this board made the learning curve much smoother. The pre-loaded demo images helped me understand the PS-PL interaction quickly. The GPIO headers are very accessible for breadboarding.

Best bang for your buck
You rarely find a Zynq board with HDMI and Gigabit Ethernet at this price point. It arrived well-packaged and booting into Linux was straightforward. Perfect for home automation projects requiring real-time processing.
Q: Does this board come with a pre-installed operating system?
A: Yes, the board typically ships with a basic Linux image on the eMMC to get you started, but you can easily flash your own custom Petalinux or Ubuntu images via the SD card slot.
Q: Can I power this board solely through the USB-C port?
A: Yes, the USB-C port supports 5V input sufficient for normal operation. However, if you plan to drive many high-power peripherals via the expansion headers, we recommend using the barrel jack for additional stability.
Q: Are schematic diagrams available for download?
A: Yes, full schematic PDFs and PCB layout files are available in the 'Resources' section of our product page to assist with your carrier board design or debugging needs.
Q: What is the maximum resolution supported by the HDMI output?
A: The HDMI controller on the Zynq chip supports up to 1920x1080 at 60Hz. We provide example Verilog/VHDL code in our GitHub repository to help you configure the video timing controller.
Q: Is the JTAG interface compatible with Digilent cables?
A: Absolutely. The JTAG header follows the standard 2x7 pinout compatible with Digilent JTAG HS2, HS3, and most other Xilinx-compatible debug probes.
