Good value but community support is growing
Hardware is impressive for the price, but finding specific tutorials compared to Raspberry Pi can be challenging. The official wiki helps, but more community examples would be great.

Great hardware, steep learning curve for beginners
Performance is solid for industrial control applications. However, if you are new to Rockchip ecosystems, expect to spend some time configuring the device tree and drivers.

Reliable for prototyping
We used this for a quick proof-of-concept in our factory line. The Gigabit Ethernet ensures stable communication. Would prefer more GPIO pins exposed directly.

Excellent alternative to Raspberry Pi for vision projects
The built-in NPU makes a huge difference for my object detection models. Setup was straightforward with the provided Android image, and the documentation is quite detailed.

Fast boot times and responsive UI
Switched from an older board and the speed difference is night and day. The Mali GPU handles 4K video decoding smoothly. Highly recommended for media center builds too.
Q: Does this board support running Ubuntu Linux?
A: Yes, the Wildfire Luban Cat supports Ubuntu. You can download the official image from our resource page and flash it using the RKDevTool.
Q: Where can I find the schematic diagrams for custom carrier boards?
A: The full hardware schematics and PCB layout files are available for download in the 'Documentation' section of the product page under the Resources tab.
Q: Is a power adapter included in the box?
A: No, the package includes only the development board. We recommend using a 5V/3A USB-C power adapter for stable operation, especially when peripherals are connected.
Q: What is the maximum resolution supported by the MIPI-CSI cameras?
A: The board supports cameras up to 13MP. It features two independent MIPI-CSI interfaces, allowing for dual-camera setups simultaneously.
Q: Can I use this for real-time face recognition?
A: Absolutely. The integrated 0.8 TOPS NPU is optimized for AI inference tasks like face recognition and can process multiple streams efficiently.
