Excellent learning tool
As a student learning embedded systems, this board offers great value. The combination of a decent screen, touch input, and wireless capabilities allows me to build complex projects without needing external modules.

Solid performance
I used this as the main controller for a small robot. The processing power is sufficient for motor control and displaying sensor data simultaneously. The USB-C port is a nice modern touch.

Good value for money
For the price, you get a lot of features. The 16MB flash is generous. My only minor complaint is that the backlight can be a bit too bright at maximum setting with no easy software dimming curve out of the box, but easily solvable.

Perfect for IoT Prototyping
This board is exactly what I needed for my smart home dashboard project. The screen is bright, the touch response is accurate, and the ESP32-S3 handles Wi-Fi connectivity without any lag. Setup with Arduino IDE was seamless.

Reliable and fast

Great hardware, documentation could be better
The build quality is excellent and the capacitive touch works well. However, finding specific pinout diagrams for some of the GPIO headers took a bit of digging in the wiki. Once set up, it runs LVGL smoothly.
Q: Can I drive the display using the ESP-IDF framework?
A: Absolutely. We provide example projects and drivers compatible with ESP-IDF that demonstrate how to initialize the IPS screen and handle touch inputs.
Q: Is there an SD card slot on this board?
A: This specific 2.8-inch model does not include a microSD card slot. However, you can interface an external SD module via the SPI pins if your project requires additional storage.
Q: What is the power consumption in deep sleep mode?
