Perfect for IoT Prototyping
The screen quality is surprisingly sharp for the price. Setting up the Arduino IDE was straightforward, and the built-in RGB LED adds a nice touch for status indicators. Highly recommended for beginners.

Love the USB-C port
Finally, a dev board with USB-C! No more hunting for micro-USB cables. The screen is bright enough to see indoors without issues. Compiling and uploading code is very fast.

Excellent value for money
I bought this to replace an older ESP32 project. The extra PSRAM makes a huge difference when handling graphics on the LCD. WiFi connection is stable and fast.

Great board, minor documentation gaps
Hardware is solid and the S3 chip handles multitasking well. The display library examples worked out of the box. Only downside is that some pinout diagrams in the wiki could be clearer regarding the camera interface.

Good for learning embedded systems
Using this for my university final year project. The combination of WiFi, Bluetooth, and a display makes it versatile. The only reason for 4 stars is that the header pins were not pre-soldered.

Q: Is this board compatible with MicroPython?
A: Yes, the ESP32-S3 chip fully supports MicroPython. You can flash the latest firmware using esptool.py or via the web installer.
Q: Can I power this board directly from a 3.7V LiPo battery?
A: While the board has a 5V input via USB, direct LiPo connection requires an external voltage regulator or a dedicated battery module connected to the 5V pin, ensuring the voltage stays within safe limits. Please refer to the schematic for power rail details.
Q: What library should I use for the LCD in Arduino?
A: We recommend using the LovyanGFX library or the specific TFT_eSPI library configured for the ST7789 driver used on this board. Configuration examples are available in our GitHub repository.
