Great hardware, documentation could be better
The board itself is fantastic with plenty of memory and a beautiful display. I deducted one star because the example code for the touch screen took some digging to find, but once running, it works flawlessly.

Good learning platform
As a student, this board offers a great way to learn about embedded systems with GUIs. The screen is large enough to display complex data. Just wish it came with a protective case.

Perfect for Industrial IoT Projects
The onboard CAN and RS485 interfaces saved me so much time on my latest automation project. The 4.3-inch screen is bright and responsive. Highly recommended for serious developers.
Q: Does the package include a USB cable?
A: Yes, the package typically includes a USB Type-C to Type-A cable for programming and power. Please check your specific retailer's listing to confirm.
Q: Does this board support MicroPython or Arduino IDE?
A: Yes, the ESP32-S3 is fully compatible with both the Arduino IDE and MicroPython. You can also use the ESP-IDF framework for advanced development.
Q: Is the RS485 interface isolated?
A: The onboard RS485 transceiver is not galvanically isolated. If your application requires isolation for noise immunity or safety, you will need to add an external isolation module.
Q: What is the maximum brightness of the display?
A: The 4.3-inch capacitive touch screen has a typical brightness of 450 cd/m², making it readable in most indoor lighting conditions.
Q: Can I power this board directly from a 12V source?
A: No, the recommended input voltage is 5V via the USB Type-C port or the 5V pin. Applying 12V directly may damage the board. Please use a regulated 5V supply.
