Solid upgrade from C3
The performance boost is noticeable. Compilation times are faster, and network latency is lower. Only minor issue is the heat generation under heavy load, but nothing a small heatsink can't fix.

Great hardware, documentation could be better
The build quality is solid and the RISC-V architecture is fast. However, finding specific pinout diagrams for some peripheral functions took a bit of digging. Once configured, it runs stable.

Perfect for Next-Gen IoT
Finally, an affordable board with Wi-Fi 6. The 5GHz band reduces interference significantly in my crowded apartment lab. Arduino compatibility is a nice bonus for quick prototyping.

A: Absolutely. This board is compatible with the Arduino Core for ESP32, allowing you to use the familiar Arduino IDE for development.
Q: Is an external antenna required for operation?
A: No, the board comes with a high-performance on-board PCB antenna. However, there is a connector available if you need to attach an external antenna for extended range.
Q: Does it support Bluetooth Classic or only BLE?
A: The ESP32-C5 primarily focuses on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 5. It does not support Bluetooth Classic (BR/EDR).
Q: What is the maximum current output for the 3.3V pin?
A: The onboard LDO regulator can typically supply up to 600mA, but we recommend drawing no more than 500mA from the 3.3V pin for stability.
