Perfect for industrial motor projects
This board handled my 8-motor setup flawlessly. The STM32F407 chip provides enough processing power for complex PID loops without lag. Build quality is solid and suitable for harsh environments.

Reliable PLC alternative

Excellent learning tool
Bought this for my university embedded systems course. It supports all the standard libraries and the motor drivers are powerful enough for our final year robot project. Very happy with the purchase.

Seamless integration with existing code
Migrated our legacy F4 code to this board in less than an hour. The pinout is standard enough that minimal changes were required. The isolation on the motor channels is a nice safety touch.

Robust but runs warm under load
The board performs well under heavy load, but the voltage regulator gets quite hot when driving all 8 motors at max current. I added a small heatsink which solved the issue. Otherwise, fantastic board.

Great value but documentation could be better
Hardware is excellent and pins are clearly labeled. However, the schematic provided online was slightly outdated. Once I figured out the pin mapping, everything worked great with STM32CubeMX.
Q: Is a programmer included in the package?
A: No, the board does not come with an external ST-Link programmer. However, it has a built-in bootloader allowing USB programming, or you can use any standard SWD debugger.
Q: What is the maximum current per motor channel?
A: Each of the 8 channels can handle up to 2A continuous current, with a peak of 3A for short durations. Ensure your power supply matches your motor requirements.
Q: Can I power this board via USB only?
A: USB power is sufficient for the MCU and logic circuits, but if you intend to drive motors, you must connect an external 12V-24V power source to the terminal blocks.
Q: Are there example codes available for the motor control?
A: Yes, we provide a GitHub repository link in the user manual containing HAL library examples for PWM motor control, encoder reading, and CAN bus communication.
Q: Does this board support MicroPython?
A: Yes, the STM32F407IGT6 is fully compatible with MicroPython. You will need to flash the appropriate .dfu file using DFU mode.
