Great learning tool with minor docs issues
Excellent hardware for learning STM32 architecture. The variety of communication modules like WiFi and Bluetooth makes it versatile. The documentation could be slightly more detailed for beginners, but overall a great value.

Exceeded Expectations
Used this for a mobile robot controller. The processing power is ample, and the multiple serial ports allow me to connect sensors, motors, and a telemetry radio simultaneously. Fantastic board.

Solid choice for workshops
We bought ten of these for our university lab. They are durable and handle student errors well. The only downside is the Bluetooth module requires specific driver setup on older Windows versions.

Connectivity King

Reliable and Fast
Running at 168MHz, this board handles complex algorithms without breaking a sweat. The dual CAN bus feature is a standout for automotive applications. Very satisfied with the purchase.
Q: What IDEs are supported for programming this MCU?
A: You can use Keil MDK, IAR Embedded Workbench, STM32CubeIDE, or platformIO with VS Code. The board is fully compatible with the standard STM32 ecosystem.
Q: Is the WiFi module compatible with 5GHz networks?
A: No, the onboard WiFi module currently supports only 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n standards. It does not support 5GHz bands.
Q: Does this board come with a built-in debugger or do I need an external ST-Link?
A: The board supports JTAG/SWD debugging but does not have a built-in debugger chip. You will need an external ST-Link V2 or compatible programmer to upload code and debug.
Q: Can I power this board directly via the VIN pin with 12V?
A: Yes, the board includes an onboard voltage regulator that accepts input voltages from 7V to 12V via the VIN pin or the DC jack. However, for stable operation, we recommend 9V or 12V.
Q: Are the CAN transceivers isolated?
A: The standard version of this board features non-isolated CAN transceivers. If your application requires galvanic isolation for high-noise industrial environments, please consider our 'Industrial Pro' variant which includes digital isolators.
