Works as expected
Great little module. Setup was easy with the standard Arduino library. Only giving 4 stars because the silkscreen labels are a bit small to read.

Perfect for sensor arrays
This board solved my address conflict issues immediately. I connected 8 different temperature sensors without any glitches. The soldering quality is excellent.

Good value for money
Cheap and effective for university projects. Documentation could be better, but there are plenty of tutorials online for the TCA9548A chip.

Clean signal integrity
Impressed by the signal quality. I was worried about noise with 8 channels active, but the multiplexer handles it very well. Highly recommended.

Reliable expansion
Used this with a Raspberry Pi 4. The voltage levels shifted correctly between 3.3V and 5V devices. No communication drops so far.

Essential for complex projects
If you are building a robot with multiple I2C devices, buy this. It allows you to isolate buses effectively. Very stable performance over 48 hours of testing.
Q: Is there a library available for Python on Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, you can use the standard smbus2 library in Python to control the channel selection registers directly.
Q: Does this come with header pins soldered?
A: No, the board is shipped with unsoldered pin headers to allow for flexible mounting options. You will need to solder them yourself.
Q: Can this board work with 5V Arduino Uno?
A: Yes, the board supports operating voltages from 3.3V to 5V, making it fully compatible with the Arduino Uno.
Q: What happens if I exceed the 400pF capacitance limit?
A: Exceeding the capacitance limit may cause signal degradation or communication errors. This chip is designed to segment long buses to stay within limits per channel.
Q: How do I select the I2C address for the multiplexer itself?
A: The address is configured using the A0, A1, and A2 pins. By connecting these pins to VCC or GND, you can set one of 8 unique addresses.
