Good range, low power
Using this for a smart sensor node. The deep sleep modes work great for battery life. Only wish it had a few more analog pins, but understandable given the size.

Ideal for student workshops
We bought ten of these for our robotics club. They are durable, easy to solder if needed, and the battery charging circuit is a nice bonus feature.

Great value but needs patience
Excellent hardware for the price. Setting up the Arduino IDE took a few tries to get the right board manager URL, but once running, it works flawlessly.
Q: Is the antenna internal or external?
A: This model comes with a built-in onboard PCB antenna, which provides sufficient range for most indoor and short-range outdoor applications.
Q: Can I power this directly from a LiPo battery?
A: The board features a battery charging circuit via the BAT pin, allowing you to connect a single-cell LiPo battery directly for portable projects.
Q: What is the maximum current draw per GPIO pin?
A: Each GPIO pin can source or sink up to 12mA. Please ensure your total current consumption does not exceed the chip's limits to avoid damage.
Q: Does it come with headers pre-soldered?
A: No, the standard version ships without headers to keep the profile low. You can purchase a version with headers or solder them yourself easily.
Q: Does this board support MicroPython out of the box?
A: Yes, the XIAO ESP32C3 is fully compatible with MicroPython. You will need to flash the firmware using a tool like esptool.py or the web installer.
