Great replacement for expensive kits
I needed multiple nodes for a sensor network project. These boards are a fraction of the cost of the official DK but perform just as well for my specific use case. Highly recommended.

Good for university projects
Used this for my final year thesis on smart home automation. It connected easily to Home Assistant via MQTT. Only wish it came with header pins pre-soldered.

Low power performance is impressive
Running on a coin cell battery, this board has lasted weeks in my deep sleep test cycle. The current draw in idle mode is incredibly low. Perfect for wearable projects.

Perfect for IoT prototyping
This board works flawlessly with the Nordic SDK. The BLE 5.3 support is stable, and I had my first mesh network up and running within an hour. Great value for the price.

Solid hardware, documentation could be better
The module itself is high quality and low power consumption is as advertised. However, beginners might struggle slightly as the pinout diagram on the silkscreen is a bit small. Otherwise, excellent for learning.

Reliable and robust
I have deployed ten of these in a pilot program. Zero failures so far. The range is decent for indoor environments, and the mesh networking capability is very stable.
Q: Does this board come with a debugger built-in like the official nRF52 DK?
A: No, this core module does not include the onboard SEGGER debugger found in the full Development Kit. You will need an external SWD programmer (like J-Link or ST-Link) to flash code.
Q: Does the package include an antenna connector for an external antenna?
A: This specific model features an on-board PCB antenna. It does not have a U.FL connector for external antennas. If you require long-range capabilities, please look for our variant with the external antenna connector.
Q: Can I use this for Bluetooth Audio streaming?
A: While the nRF52832 supports BLE, it is not optimized for high-bandwidth audio streaming like A2DP. It is better suited for control data, sensors, and voice commands via low-energy profiles.
Q: Is this compatible with Arduino IDE?
A: Yes, you can program this board using the Arduino IDE by installing the nRF52 Arduino core package. It supports most standard Arduino functions along with BLE libraries.
Q: What is the maximum current output per GPIO pin?
A: Each GPIO pin can typically source or sink up to 15mA. Please refer to the nRF52832 datasheet for total port current limitations to avoid damaging the chip.
