Robust build quality
The PCB layout is clean, and the shielding around the analog components is well-designed. I appreciated the inclusion of SMA connectors for external clocking, which gave us the flexibility to use our precision atomic clock source.

Great performance, minor connector fit issue
The conversion speed and accuracy are exactly as advertised. My only slight complaint is that the FMC connector felt a bit tight on my older evaluation board, requiring careful alignment. Once seated, however, it has been stable for weeks of continuous testing.

Excellent signal integrity for SDR projects
I integrated this module with a Kintex-7 board for a software-defined radio project. The noise floor is impressively low, and the synchronization between ADC and DAC channels is rock solid. Documentation was clear enough to get the VHDL driver running within a day.

Perfect for industrial control prototyping
We needed a high-speed feedback loop for a motor control prototype. The latency on this ADA107 module is minimal, allowing us to implement complex control algorithms directly in the FPGA fabric. Highly recommended for industrial applications.

Good value for the specs
Compared to other modules in this price range, the 250 MSPS rate is hard to beat. The example code provided covers the basics, though advanced users will likely write their own drivers. Overall, a solid purchase for university labs.
Q: Is this module compatible with Altera/Intel FPGA boards?
A: The ADA107 utilizes the standard FMC connector protocol. While primarily tested with Xilinx boards, it can work with Intel FPGA boards that support HPC or LPC FMC mezzanine cards, provided you develop or adapt the appropriate controller logic.
Q: Can I daisy-chain multiple ADA107 modules?
A: No, the FMC standard does not support daisy-chaining these modules directly. Each module requires its own dedicated FMC site on the carrier board. For multi-channel systems, please consider our multi-channel aggregator boards.
Q: Does the package include the necessary cables for power?
A: The module draws power directly through the FMC connector if your carrier board supports it. If auxiliary power is needed, a standard barrel jack cable is not included, but the pinout for an external 12V supply is detailed in the user manual.
