Excellent compatibility
Works right out of the box with the Arduino IDE. I was worried about compatibility issues with the 'Pro' version, but it selected correctly as 'Arduino Mega or Mega 2560'. Running a 3D printer controller setup without any hiccups.

Great for learning embedded systems
Bought this for my university final year project. The extra memory allows me to run complex logic and store more data than the Uno could handle. Shipping was fast and the board arrived well-packaged in an anti-static bag.

Solid board, minor pin labeling issue
The board works flawlessly for my sensor array project. My only complaint is that the silk screen printing for some of the analog pins is slightly faint, so I had to double-check the datasheet. Otherwise, performance is identical to the standard Mega.

Reliable workhorse

Perfect for large robotics projects
I needed a board with plenty of I/O pins for my custom robot arm, and this Mega2560 Pro fits the bill perfectly. The CH340 driver installed easily on Windows 10, and uploading sketches is fast. Great value for the price compared to official boards.

Good clone, saves money
If you don't need the official branding, this is the way to go. It handles multiple servos and an LCD screen simultaneously without resetting. Deducting one star because the USB port feels slightly loose, but it still connects reliably.
Q: Can I power this board with a 9V battery?
A: Yes, you can power the board via the barrel jack or the VIN pin with a voltage between 7V and 12V. A standard 9V battery is suitable for portable projects, though keep in mind its limited capacity under heavy load.
Q: What is the maximum current draw per I/O pin?
A: Each I/O pin can provide or receive a maximum of 40 mA. However, the total current drawn from all ports combined should not exceed 200 mA to avoid damaging the microcontroller.
Q: Is this compatible with the Arduino IDE?
A: Yes, it is fully compatible. You simply select 'Arduino Mega or Mega 2560' from the board manager in the IDE. You may need to install CH340 drivers if your computer does not recognize the USB connection initially.
