Robust and reliable

Perfect for beginners and students

Good classroom resource
Purchased ten of these for my robotics club. They are durable enough to handle student use. The only downside is that the printed labels on the board are slightly faint, but functionally they are excellent.

Exceeded expectations

Great value, minor cable issue
The board itself is high quality and responds quickly to commands. I deducted one star because the included USB cable felt a bit flimsy, but replacing it with a standard one solved the problem immediately. Highly recommend for the price.

Seamless Scratch integration
I bought this specifically for the Scratch compatibility mentioned in the title. It connected instantly without needing complex driver installations on Windows 10. A fantastic tool for teaching logic to young learners.
Q: What is the maximum current draw per I/O pin?
A: Each I/O pin can provide or receive a maximum of 40mA. However, for the longevity of the chip, we recommend keeping the draw below 20mA per pin.
Q: Does this kit include a breadboard and jumper wires?
A: This specific listing is for the Development Board Kit which primarily includes the board and USB cable. Breadboards and jumper wires are sold separately or as part of our 'Starter Bundle' package.
Q: Can I power this board with a 9V battery?
A: Absolutely. You can connect a 9V battery to the barrel jack or the VIN and GND pins. The onboard regulator will safely step down the voltage to 5V for the microcontroller.
Q: Is the source code for the examples open source?
A: Yes, all example sketches compatible with Scratch and Mixly provided with this kit are open source and can be freely modified and shared under standard educational licenses.
Q: Does this board work with Mac OS without additional drivers?
A: Yes, if your model uses the ATmega16U2 chip, it is plug-and-play on Mac OS. If it uses the CH340G chip, you may need to install the specific CH340 driver available on our support page.
