Perfect for AI Voice Projects
This board is incredible for building voice-controlled robots. The integration with the XiaoZhi AI dialogue system was smoother than expected. Audio quality from the included speaker is decent for a dev kit.

Good value for money
For the price, you get a lot of components. The setup guide could be more detailed for absolute beginners, but the community forums are very helpful. Works great with MicroPython.

Solid ESP32 implementation
The hardware is robust and the Wi-Fi connectivity is stable. I used it to prototype a smart home assistant with emotional feedback. The microphone sensitivity is adjustable which is a nice touch.

Great learning tool for kids
Bought this for my teenager who is interested in robotics. The open-source documentation made it easy to get started. Only minor issue was the acrylic case fit was a bit tight, but nothing major.
Q: Is the source code for the emotional dialogue available?
A: Yes, this is an open-source kit. All firmware and source code for the XiaGe emotional dialogue system are hosted on our GitHub page linked in the user manual.
Q: Does the kit come with a microSD card slot?
A: The board itself has pins dedicated for SPI communication which can be used to interface with an external microSD module, but a slot is not built directly onto the main PCB. A breakout module is recommended.
Q: Does this board support offline voice recognition?
A: Yes, the board supports offline voice commands using specific libraries available in the open-source repository, though complex natural language processing usually requires an internet connection.
Q: What is the range of the Bluetooth connection?
A: Under ideal conditions without obstacles, the Bluetooth range is approximately 10 meters (33 feet). Walls and interference may reduce this distance.
Q: Can I power this with a standard phone charger?
A: Absolutely. You can power the board via the Micro-USB port using any standard 5V 1A or higher phone charger.
