Good board, missing accessories
The board itself works great, but I was disappointed that it didn't come with a power adapter or an HDMI cable. Had to source those separately which delayed my project start. Otherwise, the hardware performance is as advertised.

Solid choice for Zynq beginners
As someone transitioning from pure software to embedded hardware, this kit provided a gentle introduction. The pre-loaded Linux image helped me get started immediately. Only wish it came with more example projects for computer vision.

Excellent value for industrial prototyping
We used these boards to prototype a vision inspection system for our assembly line. The FMC connector allowed us to attach our custom camera interface easily. Robust build quality and stable performance under continuous operation.

Best bang for buck in this category
Compared to other Xilinx evaluation kits costing three times as much, this board offers incredible value. The 512MB RAM is sufficient for most edge AI tasks. Shipping was fast and packaging was secure.

Great hardware, steep learning curve
The EBAZ4205 is a powerful little board. Getting the toolchain set up took me a weekend, but once running, the inference speed on custom models is impressive for the price point. Highly recommend for anyone serious about FPGA development.

Perfect for Deep Learning Education
This board is exactly what I needed for my university course on neural networks. The Zynq architecture makes it easy to offload CNN layers to the FPGA fabric while running the control logic on the ARM core. Documentation could be slightly better, but community support fills the gaps.
Q: Is there a JTAG debugger included or do I need to buy one separately?
A: The board does not include an external JTAG debugger. However, it features a built-in USB-JTAG interface that allows you to program the FPGA and debug the ARM processor directly via the micro-USB port without additional hardware.
Q: Can I power this board directly from a laptop USB port?
A: While the board has a USB power input, a standard USB 2.0 port may not provide sufficient current if you are driving heavy FPGA loads or peripherals. We recommend using a dedicated 5V/2A power supply via the barrel jack for stable operation during intensive tasks.
