Solid performance, gets warm under load
Used this for a sensor dashboard project. It handles graphics well. It does get slightly warm when driving the screen at full brightness while using WiFi, but nothing concerning. Good build quality.

Love the built-in screen
Having a display on a dev board this small is a game changer for debugging. No need to hook up an external monitor just to see serial output or status icons. Works great with MicroPython.

Perfect for portable IoT projects
The dongle form factor is incredibly convenient. I can plug it directly into a power bank or laptop without needing extra cables. The screen is bright and the colors are vivid thanks to the ST7789 driver.

Excellent value for money
For the price, you get Wi-Fi, BLE, a decent screen, and plenty of processing power. Setup with ESP-IDF was smooth. Highly recommended for students and hobbyists.

Great board, minor pinout learning curve
Performance is excellent with the S3 chip. WiFi connection is stable. Just note that because of the compact size, not all GPIOs are broken out, so check the pinout diagram before starting your project.

Easy to start with
As someone new to ESP32, this board was very forgiving. The USB-C connection makes flashing code easy. The community examples for the screen worked right out of the box.

A: This board features an onboard PCB antenna integrated into the design to maintain its compact dongle shape. No external antenna connector is available.
Q: Does this board support battery charging via the USB port?
A: No, this specific model does not have a built-in lithium battery charging circuit. It is designed to be powered via USB or an external 3.3V source.
Q: Are there any user-programmable buttons on the board?
A: Yes, there is a boot button and a reset button accessible on the side. The boot button can also be programmed as a general-purpose input in your applications.
Q: Can I use this with the Arduino IDE?
A: Yes, absolutely. You can install the ESP32 board package in Arduino IDE and select the appropriate ESP32-S3 board definition to start coding immediately.
