Good board, minor documentation issues
Hardware is solid and connects easily to Arduino IDE. However, the pinout diagram on the box was slightly faded. Otherwise, a great purchase for learning.

Unbeatable price-to-performance ratio
You simply cannot beat this specs list at this price point. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work out of the box with MicroPython. Highly recommended.

Reliable for home automation
Running several of these in my smart home setup. They stay connected well, though they can get warm under heavy load. Recommend adding a small heatsink for continuous use.
Q: How do I put the board into flash mode manually?
A: To enter flash mode manually, hold down the BOOT button while pressing and releasing the RESET button. Then release the BOOT button after a second.
Q: Is this board compatible with the Arduino IDE?
A: Yes, this ESP32 board is fully compatible with the Arduino IDE. You will need to install the ESP32 board manager package to get started.
Q: What is the maximum current output per GPIO pin?
A: Each GPIO pin can source or sink up to 40mA. However, the total current for all pins combined should not exceed specific limits outlined in the datasheet to avoid damaging the chip.
Q: Can I power this board with a 5V battery pack?
A: Yes, you can connect a 5V source to the VIN pin or the 5V header. The onboard regulator will step it down to the required 3.3V for the ESP32 chip.
Q: Does it come with a USB cable included?
A: Yes, the package typically includes a micro-USB cable for power and programming. Please check your specific order details as packaging may vary by region.
