Perfect for home security prototypes

Great hardware, needs good power supply
The board works perfectly once connected to a stable 2A power source. Initially had reboot loops with a weak USB port, but that's expected with high-res video. The auto-focus speed is impressive for this price point.

Compact and powerful
Small form factor fits easily into my custom drone frame. The auto-focus adjusts quickly when altitude changes. Video latency is low enough for FPV monitoring applications.

Works well but runs hot
Functionality is great and the image quality exceeds expectations. However, the board gets quite warm during continuous 1080p streaming. I added a small heatsink which solved the thermal throttling issue.

Excellent upgrade from the standard OV2640
The auto-focus feature on the OV5640 sensor is a game changer for my robotics project. Image clarity at 1080p is sharp, and the ESP32 handles the stream well over Wi-Fi. Setup with Arduino IDE was straightforward using existing libraries.

Good learning tool for computer vision
